Mission

To encourage the professional and ethical use of the public service working dog.


To achieve and maintain the highest level of competence among public

   service canine handlers and all participating public service officers

   by encouraging standards for certification of canines, handlers and trainers

   as based on formal canine handling education, advanced seminars

   and ethical standards


To promote research into training and the education of new techniques,

  procedures and case law that affects the public service canine.


To actively support legislation that betters public service canine operations

  by establishing standards for the certification of animals, handlers

  and trainers.


To advance the principles of proper public service use of working dogs to

   protect the citizens and the rights of citizens in the United States whose

   public service members may become members of the Corporation.


To promote the Corporation and unite in purpose training and utilization of

  police service dog teams


To act as an information center for Professional Security Service and government agencies.


To direct all phases of training towards “street proficiency”


To give the canine’s “testimony” the greatest possible weight directed by correct training.
